Being interested at one stage in repatriating my Austin America and importing
my Beetle, I therefore watched some TV programme (Top Gear or similar) avidly
when there was an article re: importing US cars to the UK. From the description
it sounded like I should get away without duty payable, due to the fact that
one car was sufficiently old, and both were made in the EEC anyway, so no duty
should be payable. Was this a load of old ....., then?
