Hi, I am in the long process of restoring a 1965 Austin Healey 3000
Currently I am sending a wiring harness back, that maybe electrically
correct, yet the braid cover is not. The harness I received, had only
the two yellow tracers, no other colors. For $5 or $10, it's not worth
it for me to install something that not correct. While my car will never
make to concours, I would still like it to be as correct as possible.
The question I have is: what are the differences between the
the harnesses for the BJ8 1965-1967? Mine, as best as I can see, has a
orange tracer with the yellow. I believe the "Concours book" says that
there are three different combinations, orange/yellow, red/yellow and
and ???, a third combination.
I don't have my Concours manual, as I lent it to a friend, so I
can't look up the third color combination. Anyway anyone know what are
the differences? What addition or changes, are there in the model
harnesses? Does it matter, for example if I order a 1966 harness? or is
my harness for all practical reasons really the same as a 1966.
I've looked and can't seem to find a good answer, so far.
My 1965 AH 3000, is a phase II, four lights in front for parking/turn
and the same for the rear.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
