I don't know whether this helps, but whilst building my B I was going to simply
upgrade the front suspension rather than build a custom setup(many reasons for
this).
A review in Classis and Sportscars (or maybe just Classic Cars in any case an
english magazine) covered 4 or 5 kits to improve the MGB handling.
The 2 main contendors were the Ron Hopkinson kit..This left the original
lever shock in place to hold everything together and used a conventional
tube shock to do the work...IMHO a dodgy looking setup...They also had
a rear shock update and a rear sway bar added....
The other contendor was one by MOSS with replace the lever arm with a plain old
A-arm and replace the spring with a coil over setup....This could be done by
anyone with a bit of know how.....They also did a rear shock/roll bar change..

The winner was the moss kit by a long shot....they said that it shows that you
can wind back the clock...the handling was nicely neutral and really made the
B handle like a 90's car not a 60's car....
I can't remember what they said about the Ron Hopkinons kit...it was an
improvement, but not too the same degree as the MOSS kit....

The cost difference was minimal...

For me personally I was going to build my own version of the MOSS kit.

just my 20c
