To the Triumph fellow from Richmond who asked for info on Bowie's British
Car Day, I'll put in a hearty vote in favor of this show. I've been
going for about 5 years now, and there arealways some fascinating cars
there--And, since the big MG meet this year is in the southwest, Bowie
won't be full of MGBs. (last year, the national meet ended just in time
for a few hundred MGBs to drive washington's dreadful beltway in a ragged
pack and pretty much flood the Bowie show.)
Of course, Bowie is only 10 minutes from my house, so it's a
different level of commitment for me than for your entire club...
I don't know precise dates, but it should be the dead center of July if I
remember correctly. If you have any specific questions about the show,
I'll do my best...
Other item for this evening: My MGB's brakes are not what they
should be. They are soft, soft, soft, and bleeding the system does not
improve matters much or for long. Pumping them brings pressure to a
reasonable level. Stopping power seems to be unaffected, but petal
travel and feel are no fun. What to do? (I'd be doing the work myself)
Oh, there appear to be no significant (ie huge) leaks. If it makes a
significant difference,the car is a 1970 roadster.
Thanks,
Matt
