Just where is the antenna supposed to be. I think I've seen them
on all four corners! For the record, MY '72 TR-6 has it mounted on
the right front. Mine is probably about as early a '72 as you'll find --
it's CC75128, where CC75000 was the first '72.

I suspect my antenna is an aftermarket item though. It's one of the
telescoping units which will completely disappear if you push all the
way in. And I can assure you, it's a real bear to open without the
proper key which undoubtedly shipped with the antenna when new!

BTW. There was a brief thread some months back about what radios would
fit in the 6's skinny radio opening but I don't remember any answers
or followup. My '6 has a Panasonic which someone put in along
the way. It looks "period proper" but leaves much to be
desired in its audio output. I've considered something newer, but
it doesn't look like an easy spot to fit. Scanning the Crutchfield
catalog (a wonderfull place to dream about audio upgrades if you aren't
familar with the company) shows several which could fit the knob spacing
but nothing where the "nose" fits.

What have others done? Major surgery?
