Here's a very effective little trick that was standard on the later big
healey models. They had the battery in the trunk with the switch to cut
off the ground. That's fine, and with the trunk locked very effective on
it's own BUT ...
for those of you with the battery in the engine bay or if you want even
better protection the battery switch also had a line running from the
coil contact to the dist. back to the batter switch. The result is that
when you turn off the ground to the battery you also ground out the
points ! Now the robber can do nothing !
If you don't have this switch you can get the same result by simply
running a wire from a good concealed ground point to the coil. Mount one
of those two contact things on the "coil to dist" point of the coil. One
line runs from your new ground to the coil. LEAVE IT UNHOOKED FROM THE
COIL. The othe line runs just as it did before, from the coil to the dist.
Now, when you leave the car just hook up that second coil contact. They
may run the battery flat but they won't get it to start.

P.S.
For the new ground use a white or red wire rather than a black line. That
way,once hooked up, it looks more like part of an ignition circuit!
Then, make a sketch of it on the wiring diagram in your manual for the
next owner.
