TR6 Monza exhaust mods.

Howdy...
Just a quick question for anybody with experience:

How do you quiet down the monza exhaust once it has been installed on the 
car?  My dad was thinking of cutting into the pipe and inserting another 
set of baffles.  Any pro's or con's?  Thanx in advance for any help you 
can give.  I am in digest mode, so if possible please respond via email
