Naah, The smallest Rover SDI engine was the 4-cylinder 2.0 E-series, then
the 6-cylinder 2.3 and 2.6. There was also a turbo diesel from an italian
manufacturer whose name escapes me.
Beautiful car (reminds me of a 4-door Daytona, and much more attractive
than the Honda-based 800 which replaced it), but poorly made (at Canley, I
think, a Triumph factory, well, 'nuff said :-)). There is 3500 for sale in
my local rag this week for Pounds 200!
The last few years they had a face lift with a larger rear window and better
paint - these are quite good. The Vitesse version will become a classic in
due course.
