The 918.636(sic!) cc sidevalve engine came from the Morris 8. Parts
can still be obtained from the Morris Register (Morris 8 owners club).

The "A" series came from the Austin A30. The flat four, in development for
the Minor at the time of the formation of BMC, ended up in the Jowett
Javelin.
