Dear Group,
On Aug. 4, Larry Snyder posted that the St. Louis British Car Day would be
Sept. 10, a Saturday, rather than on Sunday as in the past, and run by the
MG club rather than the Healey Club.
I have missed this event several times by a hair, and once even was there
on the right weekend but did not know it was on :(. But I have lucked
out. I decided to go to STL to visit family from the 8-13 of Sept, so I
would be back for the British Invasion in Stowe VT. For once, I will be
in STL for the British Car day (and also know it is happening).
So what's the problem? Well, being a neurotic compulsive twit, I asked
Mark Grieshaber to confirm the date. He called the Museum of
Transportation, where it is held, and they said it is on Sunday the 11th.
Larry Snyder was emphatic that it was on Sat the 10th. He is now on
vacation, so cannot be reached.
I am determined to attend, and especially determined to attend on the day
the show is held rather than a day earlier or later. Does anyone in the
middle west or elsewhere know the contact person for the show, or have any
official notice of when it is? I am inclined to believe Larry, but on the
other hand it is difficult to believe the museum doesn't know when the
show is.
