I just took delivery on my Discovery. I love it. This replaced an '89
Range Rover, and it is noticably peppier (it weighs ~300 lbs less and has a
bigger engine). I took it on a long trip and got about 15mpg in pure
highway driving, but hopefully the engine will break in and do a bit
better. I wasn't interested in a manual transmission (newly available) so
I can't offer any advice there.

We ordered ours March 25 (before introduction & before we even saw one) and
just received it two weeks ago. Our dealer has a 60 order backlog and I
think they are telling people the wait is 4-6 months.

mike.
