"Hundredweight." The "c" stands for the linguistic root of "hundred".
It says here that it is "a unit of avoirdupois weight commonly
equivalent to 100 pounds in the US and 112 pounds in England."
Why a hundredweight should be 112 in England is a mystery to me.
