In the early days of Australia, a yeast product was imported from UK called 'MARMITE' (I'm not sure of the spelling). A local product was brewed to compete with MARMITE and was named PAWILL. The products were very similar in taste but very dissimilar in name! PAWILL was later renamed VEGEMITE, I'm not sure why but probably the original name was through to be too sexist.
