OK, Here's my two cents on flywheels.
In the past I have had to replace worn/loose ring gears. What has always
worked for me is to Freeze the Flywheel, heat the ring gear in the baking
oven ~150 degrees, and apply Red Loctite #270 to the faces before assembly.
Loctite red is made for high temps; it is what I use to assemble engines
and brakes.
This job is really easy. Remember, you can get added life out of a
ring gear whose teeth are mostly worn out by rotating the ring gear with
respect to the flywheel, 90 degrees for a 4-cyl, 60 deg for a 6-cyl.
