The way to loosen fasteners that have very agressive grades of Loktite
holding them is to apply heat. This breaks down the Loktite. Putting
Loktite on a starter ring while it is hot will probably do no good.
If you really need to use Loktite there is a grade thet is designed to
wick into spaces on parts that are already assembled. Unfortunatly I
don't have my Loktite data sheet here so I can't give you the number.
I didn't read the previous posting so it's not clear why you might need
Loktite on a ring gear. Once properly installed they usually stay put.
