After some 15,000 miles of relatively trouble-free motoring, my TR4A
has suddenly developed a nasty vapor-locking problem... or at least
that's what I think it is. While it has been pretty warm this summer,
I have driven the car in much hotter weather and at high altitudes
( c. 8000-9000' ) with never a problem. The temp guage also does not
indicate any problem either.
I am hoping that some other TR owner on the list may shed some light
on my problem before I delve into things that I don't need to delve
into. I've already pulled the carbs (Strombergs) to clean them and
validate the jets and floats are operating properly, and I swapped
fuel-pumps since it was easy but to no avail. Anybody have some
suggestions?
