Pulling spitfire hub

A friend of mine has a Triumph Spitfire (sorry, don't know the year).
He needs to take out the rear axels and therefore needs to pull
the hub. His  workshop manual says he needs a special tool for this.
Does anyone know either where to get the tool or how to make one?
Or better yet, how to pull the hub regardless of tools?
