I am doing a low-end bearing job (and rings, maybe) on my 75 TR6 engine,
and should be trying to start it up this weekend. I've gotten _a_lot_ of
help from people on this list; thank you all! While my car sits in the
garage, nose in the air, I have to drive my wife's...and she won't put up
with that for much longer.
If I drive off and the six explodes or something, I doubt that I'll have
the heart (or time) to try again. All this is a long way of asking if
anyone knows of sources of rebuilt TR6 engines, a la TRF. And if so, what
are your experiences?
TRF, sadly, has a 2-3 month wait for rebuilt short blocks - I don't know if
they are considered to do good work or not, but regardless I doubt that I
could wait that long.
Thanks in advance for any help! Please cc any replies to my email -
lately, for some reason, I've been missing long digests.
mike.
