[rest of long story deleted]

I installed the spin-on oil filter adapter on my TR6 many years ago.
I bet it is the same thing as the one you purchased for your TR250.
At the time, I think I ordered one filter from TRF, just to be sure
that I got the right type. Then, later, when they were on sale,
I purchased a dozen or so from a local parts warehouse. I then labeled
each one with mileage numbers, at 3000 miles intervals, to remind me when
to change the oil. Well, that never worked out. It's a good idea, though.
I now have oil filters everywhere, all with meaningless numbers on them.
They are all the same type, though, so this information may be helpful:

PUROLATOR type FCO-42
