Just returned from a true LBC adventure. Packed up my 67 Alpine and drove from
Houston to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to attend Sunbeams United
National/International (SUNI II). The drive through Arkansas on Scenic Highway
7 was fantastic. It doesn't get much better than blasting down newly paved
mountain roads in a 30 year old British convertible. However, one does start
to pray to the almighty god of Lucas when the headlights go out just as you
crest a hill, going 70, at 10:00 at night. Frantic jiggling of the switch
optimistically labeled "LIGHTS" cured the problem before we found the edge of
the road....
