Last week, after eating half a box of Twinkies, I called up Moss Motors
and ordered a set of black leather seat covers (the last set in stock)
for my TR6. They just arrived today.
I recently got a quote for $350 for having my seats recovered, if I
supplied the seat kits and all necessary materials. The same guy is
going to install my new top for $250.
I can accept that $250 is reasonable for installing the top. I helped
a friend install one on his TR6 some years ago, and I definitely don't
want to do that again.
I would imagine that the labor involved in installing the seat covers
would be somewhat less that what it takes to install the top, so I
think that the $350 price is perhaps a little high.
Anybody on the list have any experiences?
I know that some of you are going to suggest that it really isn't too
difficult, and that it is something that I should be able to do myself,
however, right now I do not have any space where I can do it.
Come to think of it, I don't even have a kitchen table to park my
1/12 scale Caterham Seven on!
