Yeah, it might already be sold - that was a pretty good price... Be sure to
sniff out the engine condition very carefully - the 1500s sometimes died a
early death due to overheating (at about 50K miles, if I recall correctly...).
Also, if the car hasn't been touched for that long, I kinda doubt the owner
took the TLC of it he describes (regular starting, etc.,.)...
Check around and underneath the battery box VERY carefully - these tend to
rot out pretty quick, and are unpleant to replace (you gotta check the
sills, etc., as well, but if its an Oregon car chances are they are in fairly
good shape - you might want to waxoyl the innards though...) Also check the
front suspension for wear and damage...
And if you do get it, check the condition of the inboard U joints in the rear -
they DO fail, and the results can be pretty ugly.
