Nope, not in the least. These engines were designed long before Truimph
and Austin/Morris, ummm, joined forces. There is not a single piece that
will interchange. What the originator was probalby misremembering was the
last of the Midgets used the 1500 Spitfire engine. B(P)L apparently didn't
want to smog certify both engines. The change was in '75; the low point
of active MG history.
