To Whoever asked
Rockers rotate about the rocker shaft on a thin film of oil. This
is supplied by a small hole in the shaft. Roller rockers rotate about
the rocker shaft on roller bearings. Their oil requirements are a
lot less than normal rockers. Roller rockers are particularly
effective in engines where the top of the engine gets oil starved
easily. The Rover V8 is a good example of this type of engine. The
pump develops high volume not pressure so that the top end is often
oil starved (need pressure to get it up there).
Roller rockers also have lower rotating resistance than conventional
rockers and give you the extra little HP boost.
