Hi,
I'm way behind on this list, but hey...I've been busy (sounds good, anyway.)
My TR6 grease cap had apparently been removed before. In fact, the number 10
screw trick did not work. Niether did the number 12 screw! The hole was
quite enlarged from stock.
I had to really work at the caps to get'em out. Good thing I had new caps
in hand before I started the job! ;-), becuase the old ones were not very
useful after the hammer and chisel were used to remove them.
At any rate, before putting the new caps on, I had a nut brazed into each
cap (I used 1/4" x 20, but 1/4" x 28 would be more correct) and I now have
a couple of 1/4" x 20 screws in my toolbox, just in case I need to pull the
wheel caps!
Bye,
rml
