France is in the process of passing legislation to offer a 5,000FF
(Approx $850) rebate to anyone buying a new car that has a ten-year-old
or older car crushed. At least they're honest about their motives:
they want people to buy new cars.
So if you have a weakness for Citroen tractions or even 2CV, get
one now. An awful lot of those poor little "Deux pattes" are going
to serve as rebates! I'd hate to think that a Facel Vega should
end up crushed... Wasn't Bughatti French? "Oh, here, crush this
Bughatti Royale so that I may purchase the latest Renault mini-car!"
Aaaarrrggghhhh!
The trick is to have cars whose cumulative age is greater than your own!
