Hello Roger!
A big well done!
Hello all. I just received my April 1994 issue of "British Cars" magazine
a couple of days ago. I skimmed through it then (I call it my "OOO and AHH"
session!), but last night I actually started to read some of the articles.
Then one headline caught my eye:
"New Peerless and Warwick Club" (bottom of page 8).
And there it is, the details of our Roger's very own Peerless & Warwick
Register of North America. Not just a letter to the editor, but a real
article, complete with photograph! Roger, that's not _your_ Peerless,
is it? I thought yours was still being restored.
Anyway, a hearty well done on getting your Register off the ground!
There used to be a GIF of a Peerless GT on the old hoosier machine that
I had put there ages ago. Hope it's still there on the new machine.
ANOTHER car that caught my eye on the SAME PAGE.... middle at the top,
is a small photograph of a "Rare Triumph TR10 sedan". Actually, it's
a Standard 10, marketed in the United States as a Triumph Herald 10.
We had this discussion back in the summer of 1991 when I found a
"Triumph Herald 10" for sale at a local British Cars repairer/restorer.
A message to Bill Sohl: Bill, hope you're recovering OK and still
reading this! I never did go down to that British Cars place (to get
details to place an ad in the Triumph Register). You know, I believe
that Standard 10/Triumph Herald 10 (circa 1954-59) is still sitting
behind his shop --- his new shop, he's since moved and the cars
he sells and repairs are more upscale now.
If anyone is interested in the Standard-Triumph discussion of 1991, let
me know and I'll mail it to you or repost it here if there is sufficient
interest.
If anyone is interested in buying the actual car, mentioned above, let
me know and I'll see if it's still there!!!
Cheers!
