Fellow fiends:

While I cannot say that I am exactly ready to install the unit, I have
been thinking about putting a radio into the '63 B that I am reported to be
restoring. I am interested in one of a "vintage" appearance, not the sort
of black plastic thing I can get at my local radio store. This goes also for
my other lbc (67 E-type coupe). Does anyone out there in net.land
have such a radio or know where I can get such a radio? Believe it or not
I am motivated by more than skin deep cosmetics: I want a radio that
actually works (in contrast to some other Jag owners I know). AM would be
acceptable, AM/FM would be preferable.

The '63 originally was (+) ground. I will likely convert it to (-) ground
so that shouldn't be considered a limitation. The jag is (-) ground to
begin with. The B will not be sterophonic (one speaker on top of the
transmission tunnel). The jag will be sterophonic (well, it has two
speakers but that doesn't mean concert hall surround sound in this car).

Any advice or info on likely sources would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!
