Spin-On Oil Filter for 1970 MGB

I have an 18G engine with the inverted cannister-type filter.  I'd like 
to switch to the hanging spin-on type that was used starting in late 
1970.  I have an oil cooler installed.  Is this as simple as just 
ordering the new filter head?  Is the filter now a standard (re: 
Chumpion Auto) item, or is it still a unique MG part?
