Quick question for Range Rover fans, etc. My sister is looking into a 1988, 80k
miles, leather and sunroof for options, asking $12,500 in New Haven, CT area
(supposed retail $16,000). Seemed good to her and friend over extended weekend
test drive.
Anything particular to look for? Stay away from? Price sounds good to me, but
then I subscribe more to the Murphy Brown *...Ford Explorer with
$20,000 taped to the hood* philosophy myself. Not that I wouldn't accept and
enjoy a Range Rover, mind you, but the closest facility to me that could even
recognize it, let alone service it, is well over 20 miles and many
checkbooks away!
