If you want an economical hot-air gun, use one of the Monokote guns used by model airplane builders. These guns are pretty cheap ( ($15) and put out lots of HOT air. They have adjustable vents on the back to control air flow. I use that, and I also use heat-shrink tubing over soldered splices in wires, too. You can get both of these at a good hobby shop. Larry |
