After relocating nearly 18 months ago, I'm finally beginning
to start sworking on the MGA MK-II De Luxe restoration. Part of the process
has been the "uncompressing" of a 10'x 20' mini-warehouse containing the good
MGA body, two engines, three trannys and assorted boxes of parts into one stall
of a 3-car garage that will be the storage _and_ workshop area...

(Now I need a good Lempel-Zif that will work on old car parts :-) !

While inspecting all this booty, in boxes labeled "MGA Seats", I found
a seemingly complete MGB-GT carpet set for a B-GT I sold over 2 years

ago...seems I couldn't find it then...:-).

Here's the details:
        Black Nylon interior carpet set
        ~4.5 yrs old (I think...)
        Purchased from Scarbourough Faire (?)
Seemingly complete, lots of small pieces,
and all major sections are there, small bag of
        chrome screws and washers too.

I'd love to trade for the MGA seat frames that _were_ supposed to be in that
box, or Best offer in cash, or other MGA "stuff" (side-curtains, jack, etc )

Welding Outfits:
IMHO:
MIG is the most convienent and practical for the restorer. I have gas
and std. arc and _always_ end up borrowing a MIG...I'll likely sell the arc
soon and get a MIG instead. I do love the oxy/acetelyne torch, but, I've been
using for one ~15 years, and nothing beats the "hot wrench" or cutting torch
for removing frozen bolts.

I'd recommend getting the MIG first, and then a torch later. Always buy a brand
name if possible, Linde, Miller or Lincoln. I have wasted many hours using the
cheap Home-Desprate/Horrilbe-Fright welders; poor wire feed, poor speed
selection, poor amperage settings, poor overall quality, all just add up to bad
welds and bad tempers.
