I had an experience with my 1960 Vauxhall Victor Deluxe. It was leaking coolant at an increasing rate and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Turned out it was the coolant drainpipe. The old 1507 cc 4-cylinder engines had this copper pipe going from the block to a draincock coming out close to the radiator. This copper pipe had develped a stress crack close to where it was held by a support. Very difficult to trace! Bruce |
