In short, $2500 seems like a lot for what you describe.
1. Emissions tests don't cover a '70...they only look at cars less than 12
years old in MA (currently), but this will be changing. So make sure you can
see the various bits (such as carbon can etc.)
2. The oil pressure guage always behaves that way. Cold it shoots up to around
100 under revs, and around 50 at idle. Once it warms, it should be around 70 at
revs, and more than 25 at idle.
3. Radiators are expensive. Count on around $200 for a recore. Every now and
then you can find a used one in pretty good shape for around $100.
4. Tops cost about $160-200 plus installation. Interior panels are available,
but $$COST.
I'd say that without even seeing the car it probably worth $1500 or less.
Especially if it has lived in MA for it's whole life. If it drives okay, it
might be worth a bit more.
