>From the July 1993 issue of Road & Track (Technical
Correspondence column, pg 139) Douglas Kott writes....
'It seems that roughly one quarter of all letters submitted
to Technqcal Correspondence are questions regarding tires. A 34-
page booklet called "The $mart Shoppers guide to Buying Tires"
can help, as it contains a wealth of practical information on
these round, black things. Written by David Bystrak, a 13-year
veteran of the retail tire industry, the booklet sells for $5.95
and deals with the areas of tire sizing, tire construction and
materials, rotation techniques, warranty ins-and-outs, load
ratings, etc. all explained in an easy-to-understand,
conversational style. Interested parties can get a copy through
Info Industries, P.O. Box 1005, Buffalo, N.Y. 14224; (716) 674-
4421.'
It seems like tire (tyre) questions are common on this list too.
Maybe this reference will be helpful to some.
