There is a real good thread on this in the most recent autocross digest
(hoosier:/pub/autocross/digest.750).  The emphasis was ceramic coating
brand new race headers, but if you had your old headers or manifold
sandblasted and then ceramic coated, you'd probably be OK indefinitely.
The thread contained addresses of several outfits that do this work.
