This has also been said to be true for Big Healey's as well. It is my
understanding the two center shrouds were covered with a thin layer of bondo
which was then sanded smooth, leaving small "feathers" of bondo over the entire
area. You have to remember, quality standards were different back then. DMH
himself once commented, after reviewing a show, that the cars had achieved a
higher standard of fit and finish than when they first left the factory.
