Howdy all. Here's the latest list of films/tv shows with Tigers and
Alpines:

FILM/TV SHOW CAR AND SCENE

"Dr. No" James Bond being chased in his blue series I or II Alpine
"To Catch A Thief" Grace Kelley in 1954 Alpine (source: C. Selvarajah)
"Get Smart" Maxwell Smart in an episode devoted to his new Tiger
"Casino Royale" David Niven in a Tiger (source: Steve Cseplo)
"Secret Agent" (1966 episode) Patrick McGoohan chased by early Alpine
"Dobie Gillis" (a 1959 episode) Dobie gets a new Alpine
"Power and Glory" A tv series on racing, showing Alpines at La Mans
"The Return of Get Smart" Max back w/ his Tiger (source:Larry Snyder)
"Viva Las Vegas" Elvis in a green Tiger (source: Jim Fuerstenberg)
Film unknown-Liz Taylor, early 60's, in Alpine (source:Roland Dudley)

Does anyone know the name of this last film?

Thanks all for the contributions -- they are greatly appreciated.
Please keep sending in titles as you think of them and I will update
the list. Also send in info about a movie or tv show if you can't
remember the title. Somebody here is bound to remember!

Andrew Green's suggestion that James Bond's Alpine might be traceable
through dmv is excellent. The car was driven in Jamaica -- so one
would have to start with the Jamaican dmv. Bond's alpine was a brand new,
blue, series I or II Alpine -- probably a series II, as the film was
released in 1963. It had right-hand drive. Bond drove the car
in two scenes on Jamaica, so presumably, the license plates are
Jamaican.

As to the Tiger in "Get Smart" ... lrc's recollection was intriguing --
ie that the Tiger was owned by Don Adams. It would be fun to write to
Adams to find out if he knows what happened to the car. (Does anyone
have a clue as to how one would find out Don Adam's address? -- he must
have a studio address).

Regarding the car's role in that early episode of "Get Smart" ... it is
given to Smart by Control. He is shown it's special features -- an ejector
seat, smoke screen, guns etc. -- by one of Control's scientists and by the
chief. Max gives the car a great plug when he is shown the passenger-ejection
seat: "Why, every married man in the country will want one!". This whole
episode is devoted to the car -- it appears in virtually every scene. I got
the distinct impression that the studio (or Adams) were plugging the
car... But this is just a guess. Max abuses the car somewhat during
this episode -- he and 99 walk repeatedly back and forth over the
hood, so it seems reasonable that belonged to someone connected with
the show or to the studio itself...
