Folks-
RE: Sugar in gasoline
---------------------
Before you get all het up about the possibility of sugar in your gasoline,
try to disolve some sugar in a glass of gas and see what happens.
RE: Front end vibrations
------------------------
Front end vibrations are usually caused by out-of-round or unbalanced
tires, very seldom by worn front-end parts, and almost never by alignment.
If a good balance job won't solve the shake, chances are that one or more
of the tires are out-of-round.
If your tires are out of round, they can be _trued_ by a competent tire
shop. The tire and wheel is mounted on a giant lathe-like device, and the
high spots on the tire sliced away by a rotating blade. It can make even
the most temperamental, tire-sensitive car ride quite smoothly. After
truing, have the tire-wheel assemblies 2-axis balanced to the finest
tolerance they offer, and put on the front axle the tires that needed the
least additional balance weight.
