Some nitpicking for a Friday afternoon (after all, we who carry
the sacred flame must keep the details straight).  Hawker built
the Hurricane.  Supermarine built the Spitfire.  Both, I believe,
powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine.  The U.S. P51
Mustang wasn't really that great of a fighter until they dropped
the original Allison powerplant and hung the Merlin on the nose.
And I believe the British Lancaster bomber had FOUR Merlins
dragging it through the air.  Imagine what that must have
sounded like!
