The year's Indy British Car Day is Sunday, September 27, at the
Indiana Transportation Museum in Noblesville, IN (just north-east
of Indianoplace). Gates open at 8a. Awards presented at 2:00.
If anyone is planning on being there please let me know. For you
guys in Chicago this is about a 4 hour drive. I can mail you
a .gif or .pcx file of the map to the site, or provide verbal
, er, written, directions via email.
I'll be there with the C and a printout of the SOL logo on the
windshield.
It is $10 to register your car at the gate.
I got the head back on my C and everything is now running well after
a valve adjustment and timing adjustment. Question: Since I have
an automatic transmission I cannot put teh car in gear and push it
forward in order to get the lobe on the distributor shaft to
line up with the cam so taht I can set the point gap. My only recourse
is to remove the distributor or put some sort of wrench on the
crank. Of course, there is not a 2" socket made that will fit between
the radiator and the front of the engine. Is there a type of wrench
that can be placed around the front of the flywheel or attached to
the drive shaft somehow to turn it without putting a wrench on the
nut at the front of the shaft?
Thanks
Will
