This tale of woe regarding Triumph rear bearings sounds similar to mine, except 
I skipped a few steps (including the wheel departing the car).  I removed the 
half shaft and hub and took them to a local shop that does a lot of britcar 
work.  He pressed and pressed and heated and pressed, but the bearing would not 
budge.  I figured it had spun in the hub.  He ended up not charging me for the 
work and sold me a used hub off of his parts TR6 for what the replacement would 
have cost.  It is still attached.  Thankfully.
