It all depends on the cost of the new radiator cores. Depending on what kind
of car and how old, a re-core job can be inexpensive like yours to hundreds of
dollars for just the core. For example, I had our BMW radiator gone through
(the core was leaking) about 2 months ago which included repairs and rodding
out. Total cost $65. To replace the core would have cost $200-$300. I also
had a grungy spare radiator for my GT6 gone through and the cost was only $62.
I don't have a clue what a core would cost, but it's probably a far cry from
$62. I'm sure there are some cars where a core is not readily available, so
some kind of custom work would be many $$$$$ vs. rodding out for < $100.
