I don't have much free time these days, and apartment dwelling doesn't make
things any easier for me to tinker with my Sprite. Here's the details --
Sitting in an underground garage is a 1964 Sprite that needs a tune-up. Runs
roughly, but I have no experience with carbs. Over the past two years, I've
added a new starter, distributor, and rear brakes. Lights, seatbelts, good
tires, new leaf springs, and flat-top. Needs somebody to care about it: new
paint job (currently red), new top, new speedometer cable.
I've done all work myself - bought a used engine from Triumph Specialities
and installed it. Bought the starter and distributor from British Motor
Sports (mail order). Compression is fine, looks like there's a little bondo
on the very front of the bonnet. Like a broken record: I would keep it if
I had the time and didn't have other bills.
This is definitely a Summer car - I love driving it around in great weather.
Having broken the first rule of selling a car, i.e., revealing everything
about it, I invite you to write me as harrison@adobe.com or give me a ring
during the day at +1 415 962 3957 (voicemail will answer if I'm not around).
I live in Mountain View, California, near Shoreline Ampitheatre.
