|Subj: Reattaching body panels on a TR6

I wanted to take the front wings off of my TR6 to check for rust
around the joining surfaces. Luckily I only found some surface rusting
around bolt holes. Now the big question: From what I can tell there is
supposed to be a chromium strip between the panels. It looks like there
isn't one there. Is there something better to use ? Is the chromium
strip even available for replacement?
