-Replacing floorboards in a Nash Metropolitan with
galvanized sheetmetal, sheetmetal screws, & roofing
tar.
-On a Renault R10 sedan, the one with 3-lug wheels, I
put GM 6-lug wheels on the back by filing out the holes
on the wheels & jacking up the rear suspension with
those twisty coil spring expanders. Go anywhere Florida
Hunting buggy-
-Once outside of Farmington (middle of nowhere Calif.),
the Bugeye came to an abrupt halt with a ugly sound.
Flipping up the bonnet I astutely noted that one of the
blades of the fan had decided to venture forth on it's
own, exiting mostly thru the top tank of the radiator.
With darkness falling quickly, I began removing the fan
by working a 7/16" wrench in the *very small* space
between the fan & (hot) radiator. I removed the broken
portion of the fan, beat the remaining two blades
relatively straight with a handy roadside rock, &
replaced the two bladed part. The trip to San Jose then
consisted of; drive, top up radiator, drive, top up
radiator, etc. All with the heater on, but I made it
some 3 hrs. later.
Oh yes, redcar now runs an electric fan .....
cheers-
