Maybe not. Sometime in the late 60's there was a guy in Arizona with a
'63 Corvair (yup, the swing-axle version) who regularly took first place
over all in hill climbing events there. This was over all variety of
TR's MG's, Ferraris, Corvettes and even (ugh, mumble) Cobras. A real
screamer. This car was also featured in a Road & Track article during this
time.
