I know zip about Lotus, but two things here caught my attention:
1) The original firewall is fiberglass?
2) You replaced the fiberglass with wood!?
Can you say "wall of fire?" The only thing I can think of worse than
a wooden firewall is the twin gas tanks in the rear fenders of my
Alpine.
