I would say that the reason that you can't notice a difference is because BPD
simply took someone's regular old camshaft and reground out the flat spots and
sold it to you. Every time I have dealt with British Parts Direct I have been
disappointed. In fact I don't know any one that has had a good experience
with them (recent examples are Andy Banta's roller rockers, and Dan and Scott's
experience with engine plugs). I would return the cam to them and get something
from Paeco or British Car Specialists or the like. BPD are scum and should
be avoided like the plague.

A racier cam should look a lopt different than a stock cam. the peaks of the
lobes should be at different locations around the radius.
P.S. I hope my recent reading of alt.peeves isn't showing too much......
