Yes! She drove a Lotus Elan convertible! Mr. Steed's steed was his
favourite old Bentley (it looks like a 1928 4 1/2 litre sports).

As it happens I was watching an episode on A&E channel a coupla nights
ago, "Return of the Cyborgs", where Mrs Peel's mind is taken over (wouldn't
you know) and she is racing down some narrow country lane in the Lotus
with Steed in his Bentley in hot pursuit after her! It was great to
see that beastie rocketeering down those roads! Near the end of the
chase, Steed almost got it sideways, but the back end swung around
through some (convenient) loose gravel/dirt/leaves and he was off again!

Now for some trivia, speaking of Bentleys.

James Bond, at least in his early years in the movies, was pretty much
analogous with Aston Martins (especially the DB5 variety). But
did you know ("...and not a lot of people know this...", thank you
Michael Caine) that James Bond drove an old grey Bentley in his earlier
years? I don't recall what model, and I'll leave it as an exercise
for the reader to find out (cus I'm basically lazy). It may have
been mentioned in the earlier books (Casino Royale, From Russia With Love,
Thunderball) but was definitely mentioned in "The Autobiography of
James Bond" (about his youth and early days before his rise to fame as 007).

        Cheers!
